Eagles Wings

Changing Lives for Good

Remote Tribal Groups

I have now made 30 visits to Southern India and another 8 to Argentina at no cost to Eagles Wings. I am always on the look out for people who have a heart and a passion to help people who are off the radar of governments and other charitable organisations. Plenty of people want money, but having a solid and sustainable plan to feed, clothe and provide basic needs to those living in remote tribal regions can be a challenge.

Eagles Wings is partnering with good people in Visakhapatnam, AP State, India and is reaching out to tribal people groups in the mountainous, forested regions in the Araku valley. This has been very effective and we have developed trust rather than suspicion with the recipients who are wary of 'strangers'. In true pioneering style visits have been made on foot on mountain tracks and in one case by boat to an inaccessible group living on an island. Its been my privilege to witness their work first hand. The pictures below tell the story.

After a visit to Chilecito and the northern region of Argentina in December 2023, I found the same story and was able to find a committed group of friends in Salta province who are already doing a similar job reaching out to tribal groups with food, clothing by conducting outreaches to the children who are desperately in need of basic healthcare and education. By providing monthly transfers and committed visits we can manage this kind of programme with tangible results.

In all of these cases we are looking at stimulating simple business ideas like sewing, food growth and sales etc to make the projects sustainable long term.

These children are living in very difficult circumstances in remote areas of poverty towards the Argentina border with Bolivia and Paraguay. These pictures were from last years kids camp and outreach with food, drinks, games, and fun which is such a boost to the children and their families. With the giving of Eagles Wings we hope in 2024-2025 to increase the invaluable support and see a positive change in their circumstances.
